【新潟妙高｜關山神社】
從去年開始，跟妙高關山地區的居民們一起規劃關山神社的「仮山伏の棒遣い」武術體驗。因為台灣跟日本的文化圈很近，所以也不確定，這種日本傳統文化體驗，台灣人到底會不會喜歡？畢竟大家也去過很多神社（笑）。

體驗一開始，會先參拜平常不會開放的關山神社拜殿，在裡面接受淨身祈福儀式。接著由當地居民組成、長年守護這些文化財的團體，跟大家介紹關山神社以及妙高的歷史。

妙高山，也是山岳信仰。而且以前真的不是想爬就可以爬。
江戶時代的妙高山入山受到嚴格限制，一年只有一次，在農曆6月23日舉行「參詣登山」。聽說人多的年份，甚至有多達1,200人同一天一起登山。
而且當時妙高山還是女人禁制，女性不能進入山中只能從遠處眺望。

相傳大家熟知的武將上杉謙信曾向關山権現奉納一面「龍旗」，祈求五穀豐收與領內平安。這面龍旗現在還保存在關山神社裡，不過平常並沒有對外公開。

關山神社每年7月第三周還會舉辦有三百年歷史的「火祭」。其中最特別的就是「仮山伏の棒遣い」。這是一項傳承超過300年的演武儀式，由當地居民(單身男性)穿著山伏服裝，拿著太刀、薙刀、六尺棒等武器，兩人一組進行演武，現在也被指定為新潟縣的無形民俗文化財。這些演武都是由當地的人一代一代傳下來，祭典時奉納給神明。

而我們現在規劃的體驗，是由當地人實際手把手帶著學習。教大家的就是以前真的參加過火祭、實際奉納過演武的阿公們。
從怎麼拿棒子、怎麼站、腳怎麼移動，到兩個人怎麼配合，全部一個動作一個動作教。
最後還會換上服裝，實際完成一次奉納演武。

旅遊中看傳統祭典其實不難，但有人願意把自己年輕時學會、一直傳到現在的東西，再親手教給一個完全不認識的外地人，就不是平常能遇到的體驗了。現在的體驗計畫，是以「了解歷史、交流、練習、最後奉納演武」作為整個行程的核心。

關山神社在明治時代神佛分離以前，是很典型的神佛習合文化。神社旁邊的天台宗寺院「寶藏院」負責祭典、妙高山登拜等宗教活動，後來寶藏院在明治時代廢寺，祭典則由現在的關山神社繼續傳承下來。

所以明明現在走進來是一間「神社」，裡面卻留下很多佛教文化。
其中最厲害的是關山神社保存的「銅造菩薩立像」。
這尊佛像被認為是6世紀後半在朝鮮半島的百濟製作後傳到日本，屬於日本現存最古老級別的佛像，而且已經被指定為日本國家重要文化財。講到日本古老佛像，大家第一個想到的大概都是奈良，但妙高這個人口不多的城鎮，居然也藏著一尊飛鳥時代、日本最古級的佛像。

另外神社旁還有最近新聞上很紅的「佛足石」，在石頭上刻著釋迦牟尼佛腳印的石頭，跟附近的石佛群一起被指定為新潟縣文化財。關山神社的「佛足石」很特別,高2公尺,相當巨大而且可以實際觸摸~歡迎來妙高的時候可以實際去看看感受到能量。
